Usually not, and we will say so before quoting for it. Headless earns its cost when you have genuinely unusual front-end requirements, multiple storefronts off one catalogue, or a content system that has to lead. For most D2C catalogues a well-built Liquid theme is faster to ship, cheaper to run, easier to hire for and β done properly β just as quick. If your case is the exception we will build it, but the audit comes first.
We have fitment and compatibility data. Can Shopify handle it?
Yes, as structured metafields with a filter built on top, so a customer picks their vehicle or model and sees only what fits. The mistake we most often inherit is compatibility written into the product description, which cannot be filtered, cannot feed a shopping feed, and has to be rebuilt the moment you sell on a marketplace.
